Instructions to Real Estate Broker Licensing Candidates

The following is the sequence of events that must be followed in order to obtain your Real Estate Broker's License
1.

Complete the 90 hour licensing course.

2. Pass the school final exam as a requirement for taking the state exam.

Exams may be taken any weekday before 12:30 pm. To test on an evening or Saturday, please make arrangements in advance.

Upon passing the school final, the student will be issued the paperwork necessary from the school to apply for the state exam.

Please note: A nine hour Broker Management Clinic must be taken prior to Broker Licensing.

When you arrive at the state exam testing site you will be required to present:

1.
The educational certificate from the school
2.
A broker verification form
The broker verification form is a form that must be filled out by your employing broker(s) to verify that you have not only been licensed for at least three of the last five years, but that real estate has been your principal occupation during that period. When your broker has completed and signed this form, you must turn it over to the Arizona Department of Real Estate (ADRE) for their official "stamp of approval".
Pearson-Vue, (the company that administers the state exam) will not let you take the exam unless you have the broker verification form completed, signed by the broker, and approved by ADRE.
You do not have to wait until you complete the broker's course to start the ball rolling. Pick up the verification form at our front desk now, get it to your broker, submit it to ADRE so that you will already have it when you complete the 90 hours.
